I watched my mom and auntie sew together every Wednesday for my entire childhood and well into my teens. It was always joyful in the house when they were busy creating. I didn't realize until recently that those Wednesday meetings laid the foundation for what I love to do today. I have been a knitter since high school and it continues to nourish me.
My life and work are a blending of many sources and subjects; pulled from everyday experiences and unique personal encounters. I seek harmony and balance by placing the unexpected together, creating a new strength and a new beauty, a patchwork of life. I believe the fullness of our individual lives is determined by how we impact others. I hope my work enhances and lifts the viewer to a new awareness of beauty and availability of joy.
